Ms. Elisabeth H. DeMarse, III, MBA serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of TheStreet, Inc. Ms. DeMarse founded DeMarseCo, Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Ms. DeMarse has over 20 years experience in senior management roles at leading information services companies including Bankrate, Hoovers, Bloomberg L.P., and Citibank. From April 2000 to June 2004, she served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Bankrate, Inc., where Ms. DeMarse restructured it to deliver significantly improved operating results. During her tenure, she quintupled unique visitors and page views; increased revenue 560 percent; significantly expanded operating margins to 32 percent; and delivered 11 quarters of consecutive EPS. From 1988 to July 1998, she served as Senior Executive in a variety of roles at Bloomberg L.P., including a Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Ms. DeMarse created and negotiated over 20 major deals and new business ventures, developed the company's marketing strategy, built the marketing function, evaluated acquisitions and ventures, and re-defined the firm's brand to extend beyond financial services to a broader range of media offerings. While there, Ms. DeMarse also led the start-up of eight businesses including Bloomberg.com. As a Member of the Executive Team and Senior Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, she was responsible for building the company’s equity product, which became a top three product in the world's and its print divisions. Additionally, Ms. DeMarse served as an Executive Vice President of International Operations at Hoover’s Inc. from April 1999 to April 2000. From February 1999 to April 1999, she served as a Consultant at Hoover’s. From October 1998 to January 1999, Ms. DeMarse was also a Consultant at GTCR Golder Rauner. From 1985 to 1988, she served as Vice President at Citicorp, where Ms. DeMarse was responsible for business development. In addition, Mr. Cramer has served as markets commentator and as advisor to TheStreet.com, Inc.'s Chief Executive Officer since his retirement from Cramer, Berkowitz & Co., a hedge fund, at the end of 2000.
